Assist and Engage
The Mental Health Outreach and Inclusion Service is a new initiative with an objective to provide improved mental health support for people who attend the emergency department, also for referral from EDT.
The project offers extra support and signposting for further services to those who are experiencing a delay in either transport or for a mental health admission after a mental health assessment.
The support may include providing practical and emotional support to the individual and their family. The service provision will be available on call Thursday to Tuesday evenings at 18:00 – 24:00 hours. The timing of the service may be subject to review based on usage and outcomes.
Referrals to the service can be made by the Mental Health Liaison service, CRHT, or EDT and AMHPs. The service will be limited to those with a Telford & Wrekin post code.
